Deadly Ink This Weekend
Last year, I attended my first Deadly Ink conference. I had a great time, which is really saying something, since I’d had surgery on my left foot four days before the conference started… and periodontal surgery just two days before. Honestly, I look back and wonder, What was I thinking? But there’s no group of people I’d rather hang out with than my crime-fiction tribe, even when I’m in rough shape.
I’m back at Deadly Ink this year, and I’m really looking forward to it. (Bonus: I can walk and talk normally this year!) If you’re near New Brunswick, NJ, I hope you’ll come by the Hyatt Regency (walk-ins are welcome; you don’t need to register in advance). I’ll be around all weekend, but here are the panels I’ll be on:
- Saturday, 10am-10:55am: “What’s in the Works†with Jeff Cohen, Kevin Egan, Jack Getze, Jon McGoran, Jeff Markowitz, and moderator Terry Irving
- Saturday, 4pm-4:55pm: “Rollercoaster Rides—What Makes a Thriller Compelling†with R. G. Belsky, Kevin Egan, Terry Irving, E.J. Rand, Cathi Stoler, and moderator Jon McGoran
- Sunday, 1pm-2pm: “Boxers or Briefs—A Discussion of Short Stories†with Jack Getze, Barb Goffman, K. B. Inglee, Albert Tucher, and moderator Donna Andrews
